This is a picture of our first picking of grapes from our backyard. Being able to pick fruit from your own property is an amazing feeling. We were able to pull about 15 lbs off the vines this year. Between now and next year, we plan to prune it back to just the main vine, build a pergola and try and tame it better for next season. This year, the vines were intermixed with blackberry bushes and boxwood. We have been steadily chopping away at it, because our next project is to put a beautiful ebony colored privacy fence in. On a positive note, the neighbor agreed to go in on half of the cost, which is nice for our pocketbook. You also can get a sneak peek of our new front lawn, which Jared got to mow for the first time that day.

On Saturday, Jared and I spent a big portion of the day working on the property. My job is what you see behind Katelyn and Titus. We have a large amount of ivy that is getting out of control (not getting, it IS out of control). I brought the toy box out and the kids had a blast playing with toys in the yard.
